The preservation of the environment is more and more important and the urge to find recycled and low impact materials is by now the aim of every business.
Our production has already a circular economy since the scraps of clay from the manufacturing process are reused by “kneading” them with new bricks to build up new products.
Even though some breaks occur at the very end of the process to the finished pot, the “shards” can be reused in several ways such as in the building sector, in the road construction etc.
Our attention is also addressed to the packaging materials, supporting the use of natural, recycled and with low impact products.
PRISMAMED PROJECT
DEVELOPMENT AND MANUFACTURE OF TERRACOTTA POTS FOR THE SEA FISHING
The project, successfully accomplished, comes from the request of a company located in Livorno (Tuscany) to develop and create terracotta pots for the octopus fishing so as to replace them with the current ones made of plastic; the Terracotta is in fact a biodegradable material and blends perfectly with the marine fauna.
Moreover pots were made with the clam shell scraps which, after being crushed and turned to dust (calcium carbonate), were blended to the Galestro clay of Colorobbia®. The recycling of materials and the reduction in the use of plastic is a commitment we have set ourselves and that forms the foundation of our business for a green future.
